Sara Apps
Shaftesbury & Queenstown
Sara has lived in Shaftesbury and Queenstown ward, Battersea, for over twenty years. Her children grew up in the area. Sara was appointed as a trustee of Battersea Arts Centre in 2022, an arts organisation which was established under her husband, Martin Linton’s watch, when he was a Wandsworth Labour councillor in the 1970s. Martin later went on to become Battersea’s MP.
Before becoming a councillor, Sara worked on Palestinian human rights for more than 10 years, heading up Palestine Solidarity Campaign for a period. A desire to see fairness and justice remain her driving goals.
